Method 1: Assign an activation name to the hard drive

Method 2: Partition the hard drive

When you encounter an error that the hard drive does not appear in my computer, you can also try partitioning the hard drive by:

1. Step 1 : On the desktop, right-click on my computer, then click ' manager '
2. Step 2 : When the computer management window appears, click on ' Disk management '
3. Step 3 : If the hard drive has not been partitioned, it will be black with black stripes. Now right-click on the hard drive you want to divide, then select ' new simple volume '

Method 3: Format the hard drive
